You will lead and inspire the Marketing team, develop integrated workplans, and drive the creation of campaigns throughout the year. With support from other SLT members you will develop and drive a new marketing strategy, audit all existing marketing channels and develop new Fundraising and Marketing campaigns.
We are going through a digital transformation, you will lead this transformation from a supporter perspective.
You will build our reputation to win hearts and minds as you safeguard our brand and drive the delivery of intrusive, engaging campaigns. Closely partnering Fundraising colleagues, designers, printers and media organisations, you will manage communication material that raises our profile significantly, whilst organising events and press activity – so you’ll be central to our success.
Your creativity should speak for itself, and you’ll be a great strategist, inspiring copywriter, meticulous proofreader and capable manager. You’ll be equally experienced in delivering campaigns via direct mail, the web (including SEO), email and social media, fully versed in production techniques, and familiar with the charity sector. But above all, you’ll be as passionate about changing lives as we are.

If you’re an expert on digital marketing, your expertise can make all the difference for Orphans in Need. We’re a fast-growing charity that transforms outcomes for orphans and widows suffering poverty and deprivation across the globe, and our sustainable development projects are winning the battle against starvation, illiteracy and exploitation.
Managing all our web-related and online content, you’ll ensure that our marketing activity delivers a great return on investment. But you won’t just be concerned with our website: you’ll also find yourself working on email campaigns, overseeing an external Pay Per Click agency and driving web marketing, so your role will be as varied as it is rewarding.
To join us, you’ll need experience of managing a website CMS system, using Google Ads for marketing purposes, applying SEO techniques such as Google Analytics, and leading digital marketing campaigns. You’ll be equally passionate about Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr and YouTube, well versed in marketing principles, and capable of building close relationships with donors, volunteers, community leaders and other agencies.
For this role, you will need experience of using Google Ads and social media for marketing purposes. Excellent writing skills are essential and experience of coordinating marketing campaigns is also required. An awareness of brand management and the ability to think creatively and intelligently is needed along with knowledge of effective social media techniques. Experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector, preferably in a UK charity, is desirable.

Experienced in community fundraising, co-ordinating staff, volunteers and managing events? If you’re passionate about changing lives join our fast-growing charity that transforms outcomes for orphans and widows suffering poverty and deprivation across the globe. Our sustainable development projects are winning the battle against starvation, illiteracy and exploitation.
Targeting donors across the north of the UK, you will organise local campaigns, activities and events that raise our profile and win new supporters. We’ll look to you to build awareness of our mission within schools, businesses and community groups, so you’ll need to be an engaging public speaker with the ability to communicate our passion. What’s more, you’ll be able to get the most from volunteers and identify new ways of increasing funds, so your contribution will be immense.
Naturally you’ll need good knowledge of modern fundraising techniques, proven ability to multitask and great writing and networking skills. Contacts within the Muslim community are a necessity, and you’ll certainly be a strong strategic thinker and negotiator, with the willingness to travel extensively and work outside normal hours. Orphans in Need is looking to employ a proactive, professional and highly motivated individual to fulfil their potential within our small, dynamic team. We need an individual who is willing to accept the challenging mission of being the Fundraising Officer for Orphans in Need.
Among many responsibilities, you will co-ordinate local campaigns and fundraising activities and constantly find new ways of increasing funds. You will develop, revise and implement the UK fundraising plan and budget for the London region. You will support seasonal fundraising and marketing campaigns and supervise volunteer activities.
You will need to be educated to degree level and have experience in fundraising campaigns and events management. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as well as being a confident public speaker. You will possess excellent organisational skills and have good knowledge of contemporary fundraising techniques. Being able to work under pressure and work on own initiative is also essential.
