Orphans in Need pushes to keep its costs down at every opportunity, without compromising on the service and care that we deliver. It does cost to deliver aid and to do it well, ensuring the people who need it most receive the best possible support and ensuring that money goes to where it is needed.
Following the audit of our latest annual accounts, 6p from every £1 donated went towards raising additional funds and general costs. This means that at least 94p from every £1 went towards charitable expenditure. We do not make any deduction from Zakat funds.
These costs can cover project delivery costs, raising further funds, governance costs (e.g. audits to comply with legal obligations and Charity Commission rules), rent for buildings, insurance, admin staff salaries, volunteer expenses, equipment (e.g. IT equipment) etc.
