Why should you care?

All children, particularly orphans, need a safe place to grow. Caring for orphans and nurturing them with the basics like food and clean clothes, and access to education, increases the likelihood of them becoming positive members of their communities. Changing their narrative from being vulnerable to resilient.

Most of the time, children are left in orphanages because their widowed mother cannot afford to take care of them and their fathers are gone through disease or conflict. These widows put their trust in the orphanage to feed, clothe and educate their children and provide them with a stronger start in life. However, many countries outside the UK neglect the orphanages and the children they take in, resulting in homes that are either too crowded or without enough supplies for the orphans meaning many children still go without.

But with your donations, together we can fund a future for these children in need and help them rise out of poverty.

How you change their lives

Our programme exists to support thousands of orphans and widows on a global scale, giving aid to orphanages that are already established but lack the support they need to care for the orphans they house. The extent of Global Orphan Care goes beyond giving aid to orphanages, it includes supporting unsponsored children, widows and orphaned families too. A simple donation to Global Orphan Care can:

An Orphan Rescue Kit helps take a child off the street. They are then registered with the local authorities, given a medical checkup and treatment if needed. They are given new clothes and shoes, and counselling treatment to help them overcome any trauma they’ve been through. It is the beginning of a better life for them and we will be here to continue to support them throughout their time in the orphanage.

How will your money be spent?

£42 per month will go towards improving all areas of a child’s life, providing what’s needed to create a stable and steady lifestyle.

A donation of £150 pays for an orphan rescue kit, helping them to get back on their feet and settle into life in the orphanage.

A £500 donation provides enough clothing for 100 orphans, ensuring they don’t go cold in the chilly winters and are comfortable during the hot summers.

Donating £1600 enables us to provide enough food to feed an entire orphanage for two months, ensuring the children receive nutritious meals.

How else can you support our orphans?

We also offer Orphan Sponsorship from £30 a month and you can donate to our Widow and Orphan Food Parcel programme or support our flagship project, the Orphans Village. Your donations enable us to offer a brighter future for the members of society that commonly get left behind, you'll help widows and orphans rise out of poverty and live comfortably with the basic resources all human beings should have access to.
